Our preschool basketball program was developed by a University of Technology Sydney graduate, so every activity is designed to deliver real developmental value. We focus on fundamental movement skills (FMS) like balancing, throwing, catching, running, bouncing and galloping, all wrapped in games that children love. For most children basketball is brand new, and the energy and joy in every class is incredible.
Simple to run, easy to fit into your day
We handle everything. Your educators can join in or use the time to observe and document. All you provide is a space and a regular time slot.
We come to you
Our coaches travel to your centre each week on a consistent basis. No transport, no excursions, no extra work for your team.
Everything provided
Kid-sized basketballs, hoops and all equipment are brought to every session. Your educators simply help settle the children.

Co-ordination
Dribbling drills build hand-eye coordination using both the left and right hand.
Energy & focus
A 30 minute morning session lifts focus and mood regulation for the rest of the day.
Mood regulation
Studies show physical activity helps children develop and sustain mood regulation through the day.
Listening skills
Activities are designed so children must follow instructions to complete each task.
Cognitive development
Problem-solving games encourage children to think and discover a solution for themselves.

We know a director cannot welcome an external program without the right checks in place. We make compliance simple.

Every coach holds a current Working With Children Check, available for your records on request.
Child safe practices
We follow child safe standards and work alongside your educators, never unsupervised with children.

Loved by directors and children
"Little Boomers have just completed a term with our children at Panania Child Care Centre and what a great experience they have had. The communication from the administration was fantastic, the coaches were amazing with such a young group of children, and the children were so excited week to week to learn new skills and become the captain of the week. We look forward to another year with Buddy and his Little Boomers team."
Daycare FAQs
What ages is the program for?
The program is designed for children aged 2 to 5. We adjust activities to suit the age and stage of each group.
How long is each session and how often?
Sessions run for around 30 minutes and take place on the same day each week throughout the term. We agree a regular time slot that fits your routine.
What space do we need?
An indoor or outdoor area large enough for the children to move freely is all we need. We bring all the equipment.
Do our educators need to take part?
No. Our coaches lead the session. Your educators stay present for supervision and can join in or use the time to observe and document against the EYLF.
Are your coaches checked?
Yes. Every coach holds a current Working With Children Check and follows child safe practices, working alongside your educators at all times. We can provide checks for your records before we start.
Is there a minimum number of children?
We work with a range of group sizes. Tell us how many children you have and we will recommend the best format.
What happens in wet weather?
The program is easy to run indoors, so a rainy day rarely means a cancelled session.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the model you choose. Parents can opt in and pay directly, or your centre can fund the program. Get in touch and we will tailor an option to suit you.
