Our school holiday program was developed by Sports and Exercise Scientists from the University of Technology Sydney.

3 Hours of Actioned Packed FUN!

Our kids basketball camps are designed to increase physical activity and reduce screen time during the holidays through age specific basketball games. Our Little Boomers Basketball camps will cover a range of basketball skills including dribbling, shooting, passing and more. We split children into age groups to ensure the skills and activities is suitable for their ability. Leave it to the EXPERTS to keep your child active during the break!

HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT MY CHILD?

Camps are divided into age groups to ensure children are training and competing with other children of the same or similar age.

The skills we have designed are adaptable to all children making them easy to learn, fun but also challenging at the same time

Our coaches are passionate for working with children and you will notice this on the court!

Our basketball games will give your child the opportunity to develop their team skills and interact on the court

Safe and secure: All classes are held indoors and all coaches have valid working with children checks and qualifications

It's vital at that age (5-12) that children have a positive experience with team sports so they can become a better team player in the years to come.

Here are some of the FAQ's about our School Holiday Program:

  • Do I need to bring anything?

    Only a water bottle and a light snack for your child to consume during our 15 minute break. We supply everything else.
  • Will the kids be split up?

    Of course. Children will be learning skills and playing games with other children of similar age.
  • Do I need to be there for the full 3 hours?

    That's optional. But if your child is a little shy or hesitant, we do recommend staying until they feel comfortable.
  • Is every camp the same?

    No. In a given week, the skills and warm-up games that take place will be different for each camp, to ensure children don't get bored and that there is variation.
  • What do the kids learn?

    Great question! We cover warm-up games and different basketball skills designed to improve your child's fundamental skills. (fundamental meaning the most important skills e.g. dribbling and shooting)

    We also include fun basketball games and activities, designed to promote teamwork and high levels of physical activity.
  • My child has never played basketball before, would that be okay?

    Of course! Our basketball program is designed for complete beginners and also for children who have had experience playing basketball before.
  • Do the kids get to play in a game?

    Of course! Throughout each camp we include basketball games and also skills.
  • How much does your camp cost?

    $50 per camp or 3 days for $140 which also includes a free basketball.
  • Do you accept the Active Kids voucher?

    We definitely do! You can use the voucher when registering your child online to receive the discount.
  • I'm ready to enrol my child, what do I do now?

    Awesome! Click the orange button above that say's "BOOK PROGRAM"

    You can then select a class that suits you, complete the registration and payment, then you're all set to go!
  • How long does each camp go for?

    3 hours.

I’m so glad I found out about Little Boomers Basketball! I initially booked my son in for one day of school holiday camp and he loved it so much I booked him in for the following day and a program throughout term 1. Our game at the end will allow your child to communicate with other children on the court to improve their social and team skills

Our basketball camps are intense and will help improve your child’s physical fitness

Gross Motor Skills

Skills such as dribbling, lay-up, shooting, passing and catching are incorporated throughout every camp.

Studies show that physical activity help's to increase energy levels and focus throughout the day

Co-ordination

Our dribbling skills will improve hand-eye coordination with both the left and right hand
